Home Vault

Home Vault stores all your data locally on your device using WatermelonDB with SQLite. Your home inventory data, including item details, purchase information, photos, and maintenance records, never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or backup your data.
App preferences (such as theme settings, onboarding status, and security preferences) are stored locally using AsyncStorage. This data remains on your device and is never transmitted externally.
Home Vault requests camera permission to allow you to take photos of your home items directly within the app using the built-in camera. Home Vault also requests photo library access so you can select existing photos from your device's gallery. All photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to external servers.
Home Vault may request permission to send local notifications to remind you about warranty expirations, maintenance schedules, and other item-related reminders you have set. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external servers.
Home Vault may request permission to read and write calendar events on your device. This is used to optionally save reminders (such as warranty expirations or maintenance dates) directly to your device's calendar. Calendar access is a Pro feature and is only used when you explicitly choose to add a reminder to your calendar. Home Vault does not read or modify any existing calendar events that were not created by the app.
Home Vault offers a one-time Pro upgrade through the Google Play Store (and Apple App Store for iOS). All payment processing is handled securely by Google or Apple. We do not collect or store any payment information.
Purchase verification is handled through RevenueCat, a third-party purchase management service. RevenueCat receives anonymized transaction data from Google/Apple to verify your purchase status. RevenueCat does not receive any of your personal inventory data. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Home Vault does not collect any analytics, telemetry, or usage data. We do not track how you use the app, what items you inventory, or any other behavioral data.
Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features. Home Vault supports an optional passcode lock and biometric authentication (fingerprint or face recognition) to prevent unauthorized access to your inventory data. Your passcode is stored securely in the device's encrypted Keychain and is never accessible to other apps or transmitted externally.
Home Vault is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app contains no features that target or collect data from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with an updated effective date.
